what's new in 1.3?
AutoCreate
You can create filtered feeds in Syndication.
e.g. in your xmod form you have a field to specify which US state you are in e.g. Texas.
To create an individual feed for any listings in the state of Texas you would create a feed record with a FilterRef of State and a FilterValue of Texas.
That's great if you only want to create 1 filtered feed but what if you want an individual feed for every state?
Enter AutoCreate; now you simply specify your FilterRef of 'State' and check the Auto Create checkbox.
Now a separate feed is created for each distinct value in you State field.
e.g.
MyListing_Texas.xml
MyListing_Washington.xml
etc etc
See a demo here, click one of the County names to see a filtered list of cities (notice the message and feed icon at the top of the filtered list).
Notice also the RSS Auto-Discovery icon in your browser; before filtering only 1 RSS feed is available after filtering multiple feeds are available.
The Syndication 1.3 upgrade is available to fatgeorge subscribers in the subscriber’s download area and on Snowcovered.com in the patches area.
